About Me

My name is Tiffany Danielle Buckman.  I was born on June 8th, 1972 @ 3:20pm to James Ray Buckman and Rita Jane Buckman.  I was supposed to be named Gretchen, but my Grandma Rosie (moms mom) saved the day and said "name her Tiffany after Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.  I am sure she will be just like her."   Uhhhh, yeah, not so much....but I thank her anyway for the name.  It took me quite a few years to ever watch the movie, but once I did, I knew why Gram had fallen in love with her.

"My Story" is long and bumpy and full of hills and valleys.  There have been many highs and lots of lows.

I have worked for a major corporation, I have managed a multi-million dollar fitness facility, I have owned my own bar.

I have broke my back barefoot water-skiing (the event which would change my life forever) and I have broken my hand, at the age of 39, falling down drunk.  One of my mom's most proudest moments.  At least we think that is what happened, no one was there to witness it, so honestly, it is a mystery.

I have no children, but for some reason children love me.  I have nieces and nephews whom I adore and who I am sure I could have raised better, but ya know...who is casting stones.

I am the middle child and very much everything you read about middle children is the truth.  I have an older sister and a younger brother, both married with children.

I graduated Cum Laude from Western Illinois University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Fitness Management (you would not know this by looking at me now.)  17 years later, I am not in the Fitness Industry at all.  Funny where life takes you.

I came out to my family when I was 24.  A process that took a tremendous amount of self awareness and growth.  I was born and raised Catholic so I had a bible thrown at me, but that has since diminished.  There is not a day that goes by that I wish I was what society would deem normal, especially in my current demographic, but I am who I am and after many tears, trials and tribulations, I do truly love who I am.  I am amazing person...just keep reading, you will see!
